Yunjin Heo Deepfake was born in Korea and immigrated to the United States where she grew up when she was 8 months old. He lived in New York, California, and Chicago, Illinois, and is said to have lived in New York State the longest. In August 2017, he passed Pledis’ global audition and began his trainee life at the beginning of 2018. In April 2018, he participated in Produce 48 and ranked 26th in the final. After that, he worked as a trainee at Pledis and Source Music, and was offered a debut by Source Music, but was rejected and returned to the United States. After studying for about a year and a half, I was accepted to Boston University, but returned to Korea after receiving an offer from Source Music to cast me as a debutante. In total, he worked as a trainee at Pledis and Source Music for three years, and in an interview, he mentioned that he became interested in music at the age of 10 due to the influence of Taylor Swift. As a child, she was discriminated against at school because of her Korean name ‘Yoonjin’, and later appeared on TV as a contestant on Produce 48, making her debut as LE SSERAFIM.
