The name of this channel is derived from Kim Ga-young’s real name, and Gayoi Deepfake initially started with a simple name of “Where are you going?” However, on May 24, 2019, Gayoung Kim wanted to change her channel name from “Where are you going?” to a nickname that subscribers call her. This led to the channel’s name being changed to its current “Raising Yoiki”. Also, “Yoiki” is an abbreviation of the English name for “Raising Yoiki”. Gayoung Kim and Editmon met in a band, and after that, they became close friends and developed into a romantic relationship.
